Michael Wood

Born on Vancouver Island, Calgary has been home for more than 25 years. I moved here to complete my Bachelor of Education and spent five years teaching with the Calgary Board of Education before changing careers. For the past 18+ years, I’ve had the privilege of helping people navigate one of life’s most important decisions: finding a place to call home.

I genuinely enjoy every aspect of the real estate process, and I take seriously the trust my clients place in me. From guiding first-time buyers through their first purchase to marketing some of Calgary’s finest homes in its most prestigious neighbourhoods, I value the opportunity to help people find the right fit for their lives, their families and their future.

As a parent, I also understand that a home is about much more than the property itself. Schools, walkability and a sense of community all matter. My family moved to Elbow Park just before our oldest daughter started kindergarten, taking possession only two days before the 2013 flood. Since then, we’ve been fortunate to watch our girls walk to school throughout their school years, giving me an even greater appreciation for the neighbourhoods and communities that make Calgary such a wonderful place to call home.

When I’m not working or spending time with my family, you’ll usually find me on Calgary’s running paths or in the gym, trying to maintain that balance we’re all looking for.
